Firmware and Hardware Engineer for Intelligent Systems
Your Role
We require a Firmware and Hardware engineer for the design of intelligent systems focusing on instrumentation and measurements. You will be part of a design team working with the industries in the area of intelligent systems with a focus on instrumentation, measurements, control, sensors, actuators, and wireless communication. iSAC Systems is engaged in several industrial projects related to this subject and is under phenomenal expansion in terms of staff and infrastructure resources. Your responsibilities will focus on the design, testing, and troubleshooting of implemented hardware and software systems/sub-systems.
Your Challenges
Development of firmware and hardware to fit design specifications;
Create firmware architecture and designs to meet product requirement.
Implement solutions in C/C++/Assembly and insure design goals are met.
Measure and tune product performance to meet performance design criteria.
Collaborate with quality assurance and other staff to improve overall product quality by emphasizing defect prevention throughout the development process.
Evaluate and select new technology for incorporation in product development life cycle.
Write technical specifications and reports;
Support development of the solutions for sub-systems that must meet the needs of the project. Stay up to date with current technology;
Perform electrical and program design reviews, both internal and external. Review supplier's documentation, witness qualification testing. Prepare
sub-systems block diagrams and functional schematics;
Develop test procedures, perform tests and analyze results to prove compliance with all requirements.
Qualifications
Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering/Computer Science/Electronics Engineering
4-5 years of experience in a related field performing firmware/hardware development, design and development of embedded systems, and electronic design;
Proven track of embedded programming for PIC16/PIC24/PIC30/ATMEL and other microcontrollers
Experience in DSP/FPGA design
Proficient in C/C++ embedded development tools
Proficient in hardware design and prototyping
Working knowledge of circuit design and schematic capture software
Knowledge of serial communication programming (applications communicating with remote devices via serial interfaces RS232, RS422, RS485)
Excellent communication and organizational skills
